(Reported by Tang Xi) On November 1, the 2025 "Belt and Road" Traditional Medicine Development Forum, co-hosted by the WHO Academy of Traditional Medicine Sciences, TerraHub Global Trade Hub, and other parties, was held in Beijing. Professor Zhou Ji from School of Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy was invited to attend the forum.

Mohammad Shahbaz, Vice President of the WHO Academy of Traditional Medicine Sciences, presented the "Advanced Individual in Education and Technological Innovation" Award to Professor Zhou Ji. The award recognizes his dedication to research on the component extraction and dosage form development of natural medicines, with his research results actively applied to experimental teaching.

The forum built a high-efficiency dialogue platform linking governments, academia, and enterprises, aiming to promote synergistic development in technological innovation, standard setting, integration of industry and education, and industrial upgrading of traditional medicine. It further deepened international cooperation in the field of traditional medicine and advanced the modernization and globalization of traditional Chinese medicine and other countries’ traditional medicines.
