Professional Features and Advantages:

The program has a high-level faculty represented by National Distinguished Experts and candidates for the National Ten-Thousand Talents Program. It has a National Teaching Team for "Chemical Reaction Engineering", and invites industry experts from PetroChina, Sinopec, Hubei Yihua Group Co., Ltd., China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. and other enterprises as off-campus tutors to jointly guide students' practical teaching. The program has distinct characteristics in the fields of new reactors and process intensification technology, resource chemical engineering and technology, new catalysts and petrochemical clean production technology, fine chemicals and green chemical processes. It has established the National Engineering and Technology Research Center for Phosphorus Resources Development and Utilization, the Key Laboratory of Green Chemical Process of the Ministry of Education, two Hubei Provincial Collaborative Innovation Centers for "Development and Utilization of Low-Grade Phosphorite Resources" and "Development and Process Intensification of Downstream Products of Ethylene Engineering", and has co-built the Wuhan Chemical New Materials Industrial Technology Research Institute with Wuhan Municipal Government. It undertakes projects such as the "973 Program", "863 Program", National Science and Technology Support Program, the Ministry of Education's "Yangtze River Scholars and Innovative Team Development Program", and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, forming an innovation system integrating basic research, technological development, achievement transformation and industrialization. In recent years, it has achieved representative results including the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, First Prize of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, First Prize of Hubei Provincial Technological Invention Award, Second Prize of National Teaching Achievement Award, and First Prize of Hubei Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. The program has two major features: first, prominent engineering characteristics, intelligently integrating chemical reactions, chemical unit operations, chemical processes and equipment, process system simulation and optimization, enabling students to have design, optimization and management capabilities; second, solid professional foundation and wide coverage, so that graduates have a solid professional foundation, a wide range of subject knowledge coverage, strong ability to solve complex engineering problems, and can engage in scientific research and product development in chemical engineering and related fields.
